It is not a surprise that the South African hip-hop is currently having the best female artists. Looking at the milestone reached by our female Mc's, we can conclude that the future of our hip-hop community will continue to have more and more female artists that are topping the charts. The likes of Boity, Rouge, Nadia Nakai, Moozlie, Fifi Cooper, Dee Koala and the raising star Nomfundo Yekani will set the new standards in the industry.
Boitumelo Thulo (born April 28, 1990), popularly known as Boity, is a South African television personality, rapper, actress, businesswoman and model. In 2019, Thulo was named as one of Forbes Africa's 30 Under 30 for her contribution in the music and entertainment sector.
Nadia Nakai Kandava (née Dlamini; born 18 May 1990) is a South African rapper, songwriter and television personality. Nakai was inspired by a female Kenyan rapper, Nazizi, who she met while she was staying in Kenya. She said that Nazizi influenced her in starting her rapping career.
Local rapper Nomfundo Yekani blew Mzansi away with her hip-hop bars during her guest appearance on the popular MacG’s Podcast and Chill on Monday 16 May. After Yekani trended on Twitter and her fans are hoping she gets her big break!

And what she is hoping to achieve in future as a female rapper. Unlike others that chose to jump on amapiano genre, she took a very difficult route and she's ready to give it her all.
